Cricket Enthusiasts Eagerly Await Trinbago Knight Riders’ Star-Studded Lineup for CPL 2024
The Trinbago Knight Riders have solidified their roster for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 season, retaining a host of experienced domestic stars and securing the services of international talents Tim David and Jason Roy.
Alongside the dynamic duo, the Knight Riders have retained their core of seasoned West Indies players, including the likes of Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, and Dwayne Bravo. This experienced group will be complemented by the recent T20 World Cup standout, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, as well as seamers Jayden Seales and Terrance Hinds, and batters Mark Deyal and Keacy Carty.
“The Knight Riders, the most successful team in CPL history with four titles, will be looking to reclaim the trophy, having last won in 2020. They finished runners-up in the 2023 season, and will be keen to go one step further this year.”
The overseas contingent of the Knight Riders’ roster features the return of fast bowlers Josh Little and Ali Khan, along with the left-arm wristspinner Waqar Salamkheil. For Roy, this will mark his first stint in the CPL, while David brings with him prior experience, having made his debut for the St Lucia Kings in 2021 and also serving as a replacement player for the Knight Riders in the 2023 edition.
The Knight Riders’ 2024 campaign will commence on September 1 with a match against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Basseterre.
