Cricket Talents to Lead India’s U19 Charge Against Australia
Allrounder Samit Dravid, son of the legendary Rahul Dravid, has been selected for the first time in India’s U19 squad for the upcoming home series against Australia U19. The series, comprising three 50-over matches and two four-day games, will see Mohamed Amaan and Soham Patwardhan take the captaincy reins for the respective formats.
Amaan, a middle-order batter from Uttar Pradesh, will lead the 50-over squad, while Madhya Pradesh’s Soham Patwardhan will captain the team for the four-day fixtures. The series is scheduled to take place in Puducherry and Chennai in September and October.
Dravil, who has been in impressive form, scoring 362 runs and picking up 16 wickets in eight matches during the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier this year, will be eager to make his mark at the international level. The young all-rounder recently played a key role in Karnataka’s triumph in the same tournament.
“The India U19 squad also features a number of talented cricketers, including Rudra Patel, Sahil Parakh, Kartikeya KP, Kiran Chormale, Abhigyan Kundu, Harvansh Singh Pangalia, Yudhajit Guha, Samarth N, Nikhil Kumar, Chetan Sharma, Hardik Raj, and Rohit Rajawat.”
The Australia U19 team will face a stern test against their Indian counterparts, who will be determined to showcase their skills and assert their dominance in the club cricket, fantasy club cricket, 100-ball cricket schedule, and 100-ball cricket live formats.
