    Cricket Enthusiasts Gear Up for Thrilling Test Series as Williamson Recovers, Duffy Makes Squad

    New Zealand’s Test Squad Announced

    New Zealand’s Test squad for the upcoming series against England has been finalized, with some exciting changes and a familiar face making a return. Kane Williamson, the Kiwi captain, has recovered from the groin injury that kept him out of the India tour, and will take his place in the team. Additionally, uncapped seamer Jacob Duffy has been included, while the experienced Mitchell Santner will join the squad for the second and third Tests.

    “It’s obviously a big series for the side in terms of the World Test Championship and to also now be farewelling someone like Tim Southee, only raises it up further,” said New Zealand selector Sam Wells.

    The opening Test is scheduled to commence on November 28 in Christchurch, followed by matches in Wellington and Hamilton. With the World Test Championship on the line, the series promises to be a thrilling encounter for Cricket enthusiasts.

    Changes in the Squad

    The inclusion of Wellington all-rounder Nathan Smith marks his first Test call-up, with the 26-year-old having impressed in the domestic Plunket Shield and for Worcestershire in the County Championship. Ajaz Patel, who claimed a remarkable 15 wickets against India, has not been selected, preserving his record of all 85 Test wickets coming away from home.
