The highly anticipated match between England and Namibia at the T20 World Cup in Antigua is under threat of being washed out due to the forecast of thundery showers in the region.
If the game is abandoned, it will be a major blow for England, as they would crash out of the tournament, remaining on 4 points and behind Scotland who will progress to the Super Eights.
This is the first-ever T20 match between England and Namibia, with their only previous encounter being a 50-over game at the 2003 World Cup, which England won.
The match was scheduled to start at 6pm BST (1pm local time), and the author was planning to provide updates from the toss and team lineups after 5:30pm BST.
Earlier in the tournament, a match between India and Canada in Lauderhill, Florida, was also washed out due to the inclement weather.
