County Cricket Round-up
In the latest round of County Championship matches, there were several notable performances and key events:
Nottinghamshire’s bowler Green claimed his first Championship wicket, dismissing Haynes who was caught by Hurst. Notts were 134-4 at this point.
Marnus Labuschagne scored his second century of the season and tenth for Glamorgan.
“Marnus Labuschagne is still there on 87, with Sam Northeast on 62. Glamorgan need another 332 to win.”
Kent lost the wicket of Jack Leaning for 43, but Compton is “digging in” on 82. Kent are now in a better position to avoid an innings defeat, but it will still be a “tough ask to last the whole day”.
Jimmy Anderson bowled a spell of 6-2-9-1 in the morning session.
Andy Umeed scored a “boundary-filled 30” for Somerset before being caught behind.
Nathan Lyon is hoping to bowl more today after only getting 3 overs yesterday with Anderson.
Anderson also claimed the wicket of Young, who was caught behind. Notts were 95-3 at this point.
