Match Criteria
Notably, for a game to be considered complete in the semi-finals and final, both teams must bat a minimum of 10 overs per innings, as opposed to the usual 5 overs per innings during the rest of the tournament. This could be a crucial factor, as rain has been forecasted at both venues.
“In case of a washout, the team that finishes higher in their respective Super Eight groups (India and South Africa) will proceed to the final. If the final is abandoned due to weather, the two finalists will be declared joint winners.”
