Spin from the Start for Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge

Despite some overnight rain in Nottingham, Haseeb Hameed has turned to Farhan Ahmed and Liam Patterson-White as Nottinghamshire (Notts) look to build a lead against Surrey. Yesterday, Will Jacks was among the wickets for Surrey.

    Somerset Aim to Capitalize

If Somerset can win and Surrey fail to win, it may make the Division One table rather interesting at both ends. A high-scoring draw for Notts would be good news in their battle against relegation, but bad news for Lancashire.

“At the start of day four, Somerset are 492 and 263-5d against Durham’s 336 and 15-3, Essex are 404 against Worcestershire’s 266 and 303-8, and Notts are 405 against Surrey’s 525 and 13-1.”

    Division Two Roundup

    In Division Two, Glamorgan are 550d against Leicestershire’s 251 and 144-3, Yorkshire are 601-6d against Middlesex’s 441-5, and Sussex are 607-8d against Derbyshire’s 290 and 141-2.

Tom Banton scored a quick 46 for Somerset on day three to set up their game against Durham.
