Cricket Enthusiasts Rejoice: India’s Action-Packed 2024-25 Home Season Unveiled
New Delhi, June 20, 2024 – Cricket fans in India are in for a thrilling ride as the BCCI has announced the details of India’s highly anticipated home season for the year 2024-25. The cricketing calendar is packed with a series of captivating matches against formidable opponents, promising an exhilarating spectacle for all lovers of the game.
The season will kick off on September 19 with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The first Test will be played in Chennai, while the second Test will take place in Kanpur from September 27. This will be Bangladesh’s third Test tour to India, following their previous visits in 2017 and 2019.
Immediately after the Test series, Bangladesh will stay on to play a three-match T20I series in Dharamsala, Delhi, and Hyderabad.
Next up, New Zealand will arrive for a highly anticipated three-match Test series, starting on October 16 in Bengaluru. The action will then move to Pune and Mumbai for the second and third Tests, respectively.
The season’s final international visitors will be England, who will play a limited-overs tour comprising five T20Is and three ODIs in January-February 2025. This comes after their recent five-match Test series in India earlier this year, which the hosts won 4-1.
